Charter Flights
Convenience has never been easier and guests now have the option of direct flights between Virginia Airport (about 15 minutes from Durban’s King Shaka Intl) and the new Mkuze Airport. Additionally a pickup or drop-off can be requested from King Shaka International itself. For routing purposes guests can choose between a 50 minute direct flight, or go with a slightly longer scenic flight along the spectacular northern KZN coastline.
Lodge transfers between Mkuze Airport and Zimanga Lodge are included in the charter, with your game viewing vehicle and guide waiting for you at the airport allowing you to be in Zimanga in no time with nearby access through a new purpose-built gate and scenic road, meandering past some spectacular spots on the reserve, with the opportunity to spot some of the plentiful wildlife along this road.
Please note that for safety, strict limitations are in place in terms of weather and weight restrictions.
This air charter is available for additional destinations should transfers be required from Zimanga to other reserves
Includes
- Choice between a direct 50 minute transfer flight, or a 70-minute scenic flight along the coast
- Rates are quoted per aircraft per flight
- Comfortable seating for up to 4 passengers (weight and baggage size restrictions apply)
- Zimanga Lodge/Mkuze Airport transfers
Excludes
- Transfers between King Shaka International/guest accommodation and Virginia Airport (can be arranged upon booking)
- Oversized/Overweight/Excess baggage requiring road transfer would be for the guests’ account
- Additional rates will apply for charters between Mkuze and King Shaka International once the option becomes available
